Once upon a time there was a man living in Blekinge, in the south of Sweden...
..and there still is because it's pretty awesome here. My name is Martin Nihlén and I am a UX- & digital designer + illustrator with about 15 years experience. Thats a long time and that means that I have worked on so many projects over the years for web, mobile and interactive stuff in general.
I co-founded the web agency Noc and the product Peppster. I currently work as Chief Design Officer at Sportality. Responsible for UX advocacy, strategy and design. I work on creating interactive, digital products, services, websites, mobile apps and stuff like that. I do the creative bits like coming up with awesome ideas based on user needs, business needs, data and insights. Then I do the thinking bits like mapping out the user journey, the flow of the interaction, wireframes and those things. Then I do the arty bits like defining the visual style, crafting the User Interface, maybe creating a design system here or making a prototype there.
I have been known to create logos, corporate visual identities and such things on more than a few occasions.
Every now and then I also get the chance to do something that I truly love. That is drawing. I do illustration work in a variety of styles from hand drawn, digital painting and water color to comic style illustration and also vector style. Whatever suits the project.
My proudest thing is that I have actually written and illustrated a childrensbook called Selda & Bullen - Tigertrubbel. More on that here
I've worked with clients both big and small. Here are a few you may recognize:
